The Rivergreen Centre is a modern, eco-friendly business venue located on the outskirts of Durham city centre.  It has a conference suite and 3 meeting rooms which are suitable for conferences, exhibitions, seminars, meetings and training courses.  All rooms are available to hire in the evenings and weekends as well as during normal working hours.

The Conference Suite

The Conference Suite is a flat floor, double height hall that can seat up to 200 people in a theatre style layout.  Seating arrangements and layouts can be altered to suit requirements.  It is fitted with a public address system with radio and tie-pin microphones.  Audio/visual equipment includes a projector and screen, PC, DVD/CD and video player and smartboard.  All the equipment including lights and vlinds can be operated from the lectern.

Boardroom and Meeting Rooms

These rooms are equipped with flipcharts/white boards and stationery.  In addition the Boardroom has a projector and screen, DVD/CD and video player.

Video conferencing and induction loops are available on request for use in the Conference Suite and Boardroom.

Catering Facilities

A range of catering options is available, including light refreshments, business lunches and evening receptions.  Hot and cold drinks and snacks are also availabe from the open-plan cafe.

A fully sustainable building which has won numerous awards for its sustainability including; Journal Landmark Awards - Landmark of the Year (2006), Constructing Excellence in the North East, Sustainability (2007), RIBA Regional Winner (2007) and RICS National Sustainability Award (2007).

Sustainable features include a sedum roof, solar panels, wood pellet burning boilers, intelligent sensor lighting and a rammed earth wall.
