The Mirfield Monastery is located off the M62 near Leeds and Huddersfield, in the heart of the Pennines.  It offers a space for people to come away from busy lives, to slow down, reflect, and relax.  It is a place of peace and calm.

It is the ideal venue for just about every event for groups or individuals! Conferences, seminars, retreats, church groups, corporate events, wedding receptions and social functions have all been successfully held.

Our guests are free to enjoy our extensive 26 acres of grounds including a rose garden, orchards and woodland. The grounds and surrounding area provide spaces for contemplation, walking and the enjoyment of creation.

We at the Mirfield Monastery are very pleased to be able to offer you an amazing wedding reception venue.  The Great Hall, with its high arched ceiling, together with over 20 acres of walled and private gardens, ideal for wedding photographs and available for your guests to enjoy, are sure to make a great impression.

We are delighted to offer the Great Hall at Mirfield for wedding celebrations up to 100 guests. Situated just a few minutes off the M62, in the peaceful village of Mirfield, the venue provides a stunning backdrop for photographs and drinks receptions before moving into the Great Hall for your wedding breakfast.

Where do you start? The good news is that we are able to assist with all aspects of your day, including menus and event planning.  We will design individual menus, offer flexibility on the serving of drinks on the site, and have the space and rooms to meet your requirements.

We pride ourselves on making every wedding reception we run special. We will focus on getting every little detail right. We don't have "sales people", everyone you meet and discuss your wedding reception with will actually be with you on the day to ensure it's a day that you and your guests will be talking about for years to come.

Our wedding receptions have a sit down capacity of 100 guests in the Great Hall, with  additional for a further 40 guests in the evening.

With a wide variety of conference rooms available, seating anywhere between 6 to 100 delegates, residential accommodation and excellent in-house catering, the Mirfield Monastery can meet your requirements
