Merley House is a fine 18th Century Georgian Manor of architectural and historical importance, located just one mile south of Wimborne. The house has four beautiful state rooms individually decorated with period features allowing you to organise your whole event within one venue.

Unlike many venues Merley House can be booked exclusively for you and your guest to enjoy.

Our emphasis is on quality and at Merley House we treat everyone as an individual and every event as unique. Merley House has four beautiful state rooms. The Drawing Room and The Dining Parlour are similar in size and each incorporate enchanting ceilings and impressive fireplaces. These room are perfect for drink receptions and buffets. The largest of the rooms, The Old Library, can accommodate a sit down meal, dancing and live music.

The spacious classical entrance hall makes for a grand impression and leads to magnificent staircase, which is one of the best of its kind in England. Upstairs the Old Nursery is perfect for the convenience of the Bridal party or for the safe storage of personal items.

We are able to cater for a wide range of refreshment and food requirements - whether it be a working lunch or a Wedding Breakfast.

There are many varied photography opportunities at Merley House, by the elegant fireplaces, against the tall windows, or on the dramatic staircase. Outside, the house itself provides a magnificent backdrop and there is also a beautiful archway on the East side next to the pergola.

The Drawing Room is decorated predominantly in green with white cornining detailed in gold, it also boast an impressive chimneypeice in white and green marble. Approximate Capacity: 50 people

The Dining Parlour is decorated in blue tones and has an enchanting ceiling. Approximate Capacity: 50 people

The Old Nursery is located on the first floor of Merley House. It has three full length windows looking over the grounds at Merley House. Approximate Capacity: 20 people.

The Old Library is the largest of the rooms. It is decorated in pale blue. Approximate Capacity: 100 people
